The Chore Service provides affordable, dependable chore and maintenance services to seniors living in Winona County by using a neighborhood skills bank; which includes volunteers and paid housekeepers. Light housekeeping, including dusting, mopping, laundry and vacuuming are tasks often done.  Meal preparation and running vital grocery/prescription errands are a need that is met.  Heavy housekeeping includes items such as: cleaning windows, gutters, basements and closets.  Lawn mowing and snow removal are available.   Seniors are provided a home safety checklist; where repair and modification recommendations are identified. Repairs include installation of safety equipment, smoke detectors and door/window locks.  

Those receiving services are billed using a sliding fee.
