What is Faith In Action?

People of many faiths and ethnicities who help older adults stay independent and living in their homes. They provide non-professional services.

  • Short-term respite care and friendly visiting.
  • Chore services (indoor or outdoor).
  • Grocery shopping assistance.
  • Transportation to doctor appointments.
  • Elder watch: a daily phone call to check elders.
  • Wheelchair ramp building.
  • Therapy dog international: certified therapy dogs do companion visits to elders
  • Prayer shawl partners: knit shaw of love for an elder.

Who should be involved.... All with a desire to help
those in need can be involved. It is a network of faith communities, individuals, organizations and social agencies, working for the good of the elders.
